What's true today, what's being worked on, and how to tell us when something's in your way.
This website
battleroomempire.com targets WCAG 2.2 AA. Concretely, that means: semantic
landmarks and heading structure, a skip link, full keyboard operability with visible focus,
AA-level text contrast on all surfaces, support for 200% zoom and 320px-wide viewports,
prefers-reduced-motion respected throughout, no autoplaying audio, and forms with
real labels and inline errors. We test with keyboard-only navigation and automated tooling on
each significant change.
Known website limitations: the search interface is provided by a third-party library (Pagefind) whose markup we've styled but don't fully control; we monitor it and report issues upstream.
The game (in development)
Current development builds include:
- A Reduce Motion setting that disables ambient particles and battle camera flyovers
- Per-category volume controls
- A language selector (localization coverage still expanding)
Honest limitations: room-scanned AR play currently involves physically moving through your space, and battles are visually dense. The instant battlefield option reduces physical setup, but we don't yet offer a fully movement-free way to play, and we won't claim otherwise. How far non-AR and low-vision support can go is active design work — the development diaries will cover it as it lands.

Accessibility reports get fixed with priority. Email tait.absher96@gmail.com with "Accessibility" in the subject — describing what you were trying to do and what happened is plenty. We read all of it.
